 Temporary glass repair filmThis Emergency Glass Repair Film is specially developed to provide a fast and cost effective short term solution to the problem of broken windows, glass doors, partitions and panels. The film is rated to BS EN 12600 2B2 and BS 6206 Part B.
Application is simple - similar to sticky-back plastic. Just cut the material to the size of the window or panel, peel back a few inches of the backing paper and apply to the top edge of the area to be repaired. Next by peeling off the remaining backing paper and smoothing down with a soft cloth, apply to the remaining area, leaving an almost invisible repair.
Any window in any building has a risk of being broken at some time. Replacement can be very expensive, especially if you call a glazier out of hours. Boarding up is the traditional short term solution. Yet boarding up is expensive, can cause irreparable damage to frames, darkens rooms and is unsightly. Boarded-up buildings can also attract vandals to do more damage.
Glass repair film is a cost-effective, practically invisible way of making cracked glass safe. It takes seconds to apply with no tools. Just cut to size, peel off the backing film and apply. For additional safety, both sides of the window can be covered.
If needed the glass repair film can be overlapped by 10cm to cover larger windows.
