We can cut window safety film to the width and height you require for each window - this saves you from having to cut it to size before you apply it. We charge £2.42 to cut each piece of glass safety film to the size you require. Just enter the number of pieces needed above (quantity). List the sizes of the pieces of safety film you need (in mm) below. We can only supply rectangular or square pieces of window film, e.g. you might want one piece of safety film 1020mm x 820mm and one piece 902mm x 722mm. NB at least one measurement must be no more than 60" (1524mm) - this is the widest roll of window safety film we stock. Then click on Add to Cart.

NB this cost is just for the cutting service - you will also need to buy enough of either 30" or 60" wide safety film. Please give us a call if you need help to work out how much you need, or send us the measurements by email (use the contact us link at bottom of page).

Please make sure the sizes of glass safety film you give us are at least 12mm longer and wider than the window or other glass to be covered. This slight overlap of window film makes it easier to apply the film and the excess can be easily trimmed off with a craft knife after you have applied the film.

Having us cut the film for you may add a day or two to the delivery time for the safety film. The window film will come all rolled together in a cardboard tube with installation instructions.

Do you need to prove compliance with glass safety regulations? If so, please enter the number of panes to be covered above and click on Add to cart. We will then send you a supply of transparent labels to put on the glass under the satefy film, plus a compliance certificate (important - please enter the address the film is to be installed at below).

There are situations where you need to prove that you have complied with regulations governing glass safety, e.g. Regulation 14 of the Workplace (Health, Safety & Welfare) Regulations 1992 and Building Regulations Document N. Childminders, even though they operate in their own home, are usually also compelled to prove all their glass complies with BS EN 12600 (the new standard which has superseded BS6206).

If you need to prove compliance we can provide small, unobtrusive,transparent labels for you to apply to each pane of glass. We also send a certificate of compliance with the labels. The labels cost 3 pence each and compliance certificate which comes with the order is free of charge. If you are installing film at more than one address please email or phone us with details so we can supply a certificate for each address.

Provides both safety and privacy. Once applied, it will upgrade the glass to comply with BS EN 12600 (BSEN12600 / BS12600). BS EN 12600 has now replaced BS6206 class B and BS EN12600 safety film should be used wherever BS6206 film was specified previously.

Allows paint etc to be removed from windows before safety film is applied.

Rubber bladed tool for applying window film. Steel handle with comfortable rubber grip.

Plastic squeegee - 100mm (4 inches) wide. Only suitable for very small panes of glass. For glass more than approx 300mm wide/tall use a rubber bladed squeegee at least 240mm wide.

Used during window film application process to apply a solution of water and washing-up liquid to the glass and film. A squeegee is then used to squeeze out any air bubbles.

Although a ruler can be used as a straight edge to trim excess film on windows, this trimming guide will make the job easier and is recommended if you have a large amount of film to apply. Has 90, 75 and 45 degree angles pre-set. 252mm x 152mm.
